This may be a little stupid to ask, I was wondering if it's possible to get loans for living expenses. I'm 19 and in my second semester of college. I also live with my boyfriend and sometimes I still stay with my dad. I don't have a job~so I was just wondering if there was any way to get loan for living expenses so that I have money of my own and not have to bum off of my dad and boyfriend, though they don't mind. And if there is a way, can you please give me some info or @ least send me in the right direction.

ur fAFSA will tell ur school how much aid u get.. It depends on ur income on last years taxes and how much ur parents make..assuming u are dependent on them. U can always take out a unsub. loan whether u need it or not but know that the interest accrues DAILY and will cost u a lot more in the end.

Since you are in school you can request money from your student loan lenders beyond the amount of books and tuition. They allow for some overage but probably not enough ti live comfortably. It also depends on the cost or your school. You have a maximum that the state and lenders will allow you to borrow in any given calender year. Remember your paying interest on this "extra" money and it will add up.

Either bank loan... Or......

Get more aid. Like scholarships and grants you dont have to pay back. Have them all pay the school and if you over pay your tuition the school will refund you the money and youre free to use as you want to. AT least that's how it works here. You should check your school's policy on refunds. If you cant get those extra scholarships and grants then ... bank o_o. Dont forget about private scholarships too. :)
