In Excel, I'm trying to figure out how to highlite an entire range of cells, but I only want to copy/paste cells which have text. Would that be consolidate?

I don't know If I got you here:
- If you want to select the whole sheet, it is CTRL +A, or press the empty space between the A in column heads and 1 in Row titles.
- If you want to select only text cells (Cells with text result, you can use:
Edit > Go To > Special
There you can select only the cells that its resulat are in text, numeric etc
- If you want to select only text cells in a certain range of cells, then, select that range then go to (Edit > Go To > Special) and select your criteria there.

Hold CTRL while highlighting cell. That will let you selectively choose which ever cells you would like

You need to write a macro for that. Check out Application.Union keywords
