My Dad lost his job when I was in jr high and as much as I hated moving and losing my friends, I never told him that when he asked how I felt. I realized how much he had done for me and was doing everything he could to support our family. IF you are in high school, I would suggest you are old enough to seek other avenues like, live with another family, or ?????? It is not a fun position to be in, but you do have power yourself, start brainstorming, maybe all can come to a compromise . Hope this helps. And how about some prayer ?

Don't panic. Times are hard and it sounds like you and your family are having more than your fair share. You can help by being supportive. That's what good families do for each other. Do your chores and chip in more around the house without being told to. If you have pets, be vigilant in caring and cleaning up after them. If you have a younger brother or sister watch out for them more. You must stay strong and not add to their worries. Your parents will find jobs. It may be a few steps back at first but things will pan out in time. Moving to Canada sounds wonderful. It could be an adventure if you make it. Good Luck to you and yours

Well i think your dad is hurting to (how will he pay for food and the roof over your heads and electric you turn on with out thinking and the phone and computer you use) oh and more clothes for you and stuff you do not appreciate. and if you have to go to public school you will survive. Life is about changes and most of them are painful. Try to keep a good attitude though at time it will be harder than anything you have done so far. Your dads problems are far worse than yours.

You can still keep in touch with your recent friends-& make new friends at a public school. All that matters is you graduate.-I did 18 yrs ago & I miss school. (There's nothing wrong with a public school-good luck.)
