Thanks a lot for your reply. There are plenty of appointments available during the month of march in Canada but my only concern is that if it is ok to go to Canada for my first time H1B stamping rather than to my home country. I dont ve a degree from US nor ve work exp in US.

I am getting mixed information through the websites and forums. I am bit concerned about my first time stamping. Your reply will be greatly appreciated.

I can't make any promises without seeing the application and supporting documents, but if your qualifications are true and the job is real (not, for example, from a "body shop") then the likelihood that you will get the visa is pretty high. You don't have to have a US degree nor US work experience: you just need a genuine qualifying job in a US company that can and will petition for you. And it won't actually matter where you apply, as long as it is a genuine case, since 214b of the INA doesn't apply to H1Bs; but the border posts are so overrun with third country nationals who don't want to go home to apply for visas that they do often limit those they will see so that they can give priority to the Canadians or Mexicans whom they are actually there to serve.

I'm beginning to wonder, though, if you didn't study in the US and haven't been working there, why are you in the US now? If you were there for job interviews, that makes sense, but I hope you haven't overstayed a tourist visa.
