I had one last Monday and it went away.

Then today, (the next Monday) I have like 3!

I know I have been nervous due to school stuff (applying for
grad blah blah blah)

Is it possible to have more than 1 cold sore? And where do they come from?

Yes you can have more than one at a time. Usually if you ever have one you will be susceptible to them the rest of your life. They are a herpes simplex virus, and are contagious. Stress usually brings them out in groves. I've heard about an OTC medication "Abreva" and I've been told it works very well, especially if you apply it at the onset or at the sensation of the out break it can prevent them from appearing. Give it a try! Good luck.

Yes, you can get more than 1 at a time. They are from a virus that erupts into a blister. It is the herpes simplex virus 1, as opposed to herpes simples virus 2 that usually causes genital herpes.

you lips have answered for me, yes it is! they are a herpes simplex virus.and stress will bring them out.
try vitamin b group, and folate. or even a good multivitamin.
tea tree oil , look for a pure oil (not a chemically watered down one.) a couple of drops in a small amount of water , on a cotton ball applied often as you can, will kill bacteria, assist in healing, and provide relief from the burn and itch.
and if you itch all over put some in a bath and soak! or on your facecloth and wipe over as you leave the shower, its great for acne too!
