You Don't muliply the dogs age by 7...thats an old wives tale. Here are a couple charts to help ya out. Bigger dogs also age faster than smaller dogs.

You're going to get a lot of "take his age and multiply it by 7"...

No, the dog's age is the dog's age. Period.

Its not like he's going around the Sun any faster than the rest of us.
Well, at least my dog isn't.

However, just as in human lives, there are certain "milestones" in
a dog's life, and some of them have corresponding times in a human's
life. The clearest, most obvious milestone (after birth) is death. If your
average human dies at 72 and your average dog dies at 10, you might
conclude that a dog has lived 7 times more of its life in 1 year than a
human. Clearly a dog that dies at 14 is an OLD dog - just as when a
human dies at 98.

However, dogs are generally able to breed far earlier than the "by 7"
math would have you believe. The life cycle is not a simple compression
of the human timeline ... the "by 7" rule is more of guideline to figure
out when the dog will die, etc.

he is our age until he is 2 then add 7 yrs for every year after. so if your dog is 5..he is 37, 10 he is 72

If you're talking about "dog years", you multiply your dog's real age by seven. Though, dog years are really just a colloquialism. A dog's age is simply how old it is.
