only varmits like ground hogs, raccoons, ground squirls, ect. some animals are pests that must be removed, and are not good for food. the way i see it, if i dont eat it, something else will, so it is not wasted. by killing bad animals, i am also feeding the good ones.

I love to hunt, and I have killed alot of animals, but I was raised believing if you shoot it you eat it, with only one exception, gophers. My fathers prize Appy stud injured his leg in a gopher hole, so we were allowed to shoot gophers on the ranch, and not eat them.

just lizards and bumble bees with a bb gun, I hear they are going extinct now....

but overall no, I dont believe in killing mammals or birds for sport, unless its a varmint type situation (mice, coyotes etc..) then its not really sport, its more utility. Snakes and turtles (in my pond) season is year round though ;) they need to be culled for proper fish production.

I've never shot a living thing in my life and I wouldn't dream of it. I did crucify my cat once though, does that count?
