It took at least ten miracles by God and Aaron to rescue them from Pharaoh. One of the miracles even involved Aaron's rod, which was turned into a snake, and ate Pharoah's servants' snakes. Another miracle turned the Nile River into blood.

As I read about the horrors inflicted upon the Hebrew folk by Hitler, it strikes me that God did nothing that even comes close to what he did for them in Egypt three thousand years or so ago; and millions of them perished.

Since church people claim that GOD NEVER CHANGES, this seems to beg a huge question. Any church people care to answer?

Answers please; not excuses. Thank you.

Most (but not all) of the Mosaic Covenant is conditional -- in other words, in order for the Jews to receive God's protection and blessings, they had to be obedient to His laws. It's important to note that God considers Israel to be His spiritual wife.

For example, at Deut. 27, Moses was told to tell the people: "9 Then Moses and the priests, the Levites, spoke to all Israel, saying, “Take heed and listen, O Israel: This day you have become the people of the LORD your God. 10 Therefore you shall obey the voice of the LORD your God, and observe His commandments and His statutes which I command you today.”

However, in Deut. 28, Moses is told to tell the people: "15 “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:" If you read the entirety of Deut. 28 carefully, you will see that God isn't playing around -- if the Jews are disobedient, they will be punished in varying degrees of severity.

This did happen and God punished the Jews in cycles. When they repented, He blessed them; when they veered into idolatry, He punished them. Finally, after many years of disobedience, God sent the prophets Jeremiah and Hosea to Israel and Judea. The prophets told Israel and Judea that God had officially divorced His "wife," but would remarry her if she stayed faithful. During this period of time, the Jews were outside the covenant of protection God gave them. Had the Jews been in a right relationship with God, the Holocaust never would have happened, because God would have blown Hitler off of the earth. (Interestingly, it is because the Jews broke the Mosaic Covenant and were "divorced" that a New Covenant, brought by Jesus Christ, was needed. See Jeremiah 31:31-33.)

God also told Jeremiah and Hosea that He intends to remarry Israel in the future. If you think about it, the modern state of Israel (which is the unified former Judea and Israel) would never have been reborn if WWI and WWII hadn't happened. So it appears that God has used these horrific events to bless the Jewish people.

God did not save them from the pharaoh or hitler. God did none of those things. God does not exist. He is a myth as are all the stories written about that time since we know very little.
One immutable law says that there will always be change so if he were real how could they say he never changes. Even a god would have to change to exist.

because moses, bieng half-egyptian was the modern day equivalent of david copperfield.

He just got a bigger and badder snake.

there is a logical description for each answer that can seem plausible (such as the parting of the red sea)- you can find geological information about the possible point of crossing being at low tide, there was a great doccumentary on scientifically interpreting the bible's "miracles". Unfortunately I don't remember the name. It was on national geographic or history channel.

Great question. But as a former christian, I will offer you the set of answers we're given in the face of logical scrutiny: misinterpretation, not literal, because it's god, mysterious ways.

I have a 75% chance of randomly grabbing an answer that would satisfy my irrational thinking. I bet I could even make the misinterpretation answer twist to fit.

To be fair there was a World War against Hitler.

But Hitler's Mom was Jewish, and by Jewish rule this made Hitler Jewish. So maybe God was confused at first and thought Hitler was killing all of the non-Israelites which as shown in the Bible he's okay with.

My guess is he left it up to free will to change the whole thing or God doesn't exist and we should all be buddists which sounds like a more interesting belief.

The Lord moves in mysterious ways.

That, and without Hitler's actions there would be no Israel.

The Exodus is a myth. There is no archaeological evidence to support it.
