My ex boyfriend is coming all the way from maryland to sc to see me. He wants me to stay in his hotel which is like 1 hour away from me and I don't want to drive somewhere that is unfamiliar to me to see him. He wants me to stay over but my parents are against that. I am 22 years old and I still live with my parents. I want to stay with him but don't like how he's pushing the issue.
What should i do?

First off, don't do ANYTHING you don't want to do. Yes, you are 22 years old [plenty old enough to make your own decisions] but you're parents are looking out for what's "best" for you. They grew up in a time where it was unacceptable to stay over with somebody of a different sex unless you were married or at least engaged. He is however your EX and there is a reason. Maybe you can convince your parents to let him stay at your house. I think that if you do live with you rparents [no matter how old] you need to follow their rules. Why would your ex-boyfriend come visit you, pick a hotel an hour away, and why would you think about staying with him? That's very eery to me.

he is your ex, why are you even bothering with him? I think your parents probably dont like him for probably the reason that he is an ex. Are you leading him on? If you agreed to see him, for whatever reason, i guess you are gonna have to meet him somewhere, why would he come all the way to see you and not get a hotel closer? maybe he is meeting another chick too, or has business and is hoping to get a freebie from you.

Why would you stay in a hotel with an ex? If you are 22, and still living at home, for free, then I suggest you do what your mom and dad wants.

For one thing why would you tell your parents that your boyfriend asked to spend the night with him. None of their business. Tell him you don't want to drive in unfamiliar territory and ask if he will pick you up. Stay with him it will be fun.

first off your 22 you have your own mind make your own desstions dont let your mom make them for you if you always do what your mom wants and dont do wgat she dont like then youll never get anywhere. i think if you want to go then go but if you dont because of how far away it is then tell him to come closer to town

Tell him if he stays closer to you then you would more likely consider that than if he stays one hour away.

Do what you feel comfortable with. Don't do it if you aren't comfortable doing it!!! Your parents sound like they have a good head on their shoulders when giving you advice....
