No. God knew where Adam was the whole time. He was just giving Adam the chance to come clean.

Check out Ps. 139:11-12 (NLT):

I could ask the darkness to hide me
and the light around me to become night—
but even in darkness I cannot hide from you.
To you the night shines as bright as day.
Darkness and light are the same to you.

No. It is not possible to hide from God because God sees everything. You may try to hide but it wont work. They also have scriptures written that God's eyes are 10,000 times brighter than the sun. What can possibly hide from that. Adam tried but it didn't work cause God called him and ask him what he had done. Some may try to hide but the truth will eventually elicit.

please explain in an additional comment how you feel Adam successfully hid from God, according to your understanding of "Genesis". that, rather than why you would want to hide from God, is the truly more important question.

Adam *tried* to hide from God, and thought he was succeeding. Clearly, according to the historical record, Adam failed miserably.

The nakedness of Adam and Eve may be seen as a symbol of how this attempt is futile under the eyes of a both all-knowing/all-powerful and all-loving higher force.

Not at all possible. Adam thought he was hiding but he wasnt really. God is all knowing you can't hide from him, you can turn him away (which I dont recommend) but that still doesn't mean you hid from him

No it is not. God knows everything about you. Your thoughts, likes, dislikes, wants, needs, etc. He knew you before you were formed in the womb. There is no place on earth you can go that will be out of reach of God.

In the irrational reality, yes or no. And both are perfect answers since it's an irrational subject. There's no need for logical consistency.

In reality, no. You can't hide from nothingness. You can't do anything to nothingness since it's nothing, and nothing can't be.
