Bigorexia currently has no clinical guideline, but it has been described by psychiatrists as the opposite to Anorexia. It can typically be found in body building circles, and can be known as Muscle Dysmorphia. The sufferer worries that they are too small, and will go to any length to increase muscle mass.
Researchers have put together this set of criteria:
-The person is preoccupied with the idea that their body is not lean and muscular. They spend long hours lifting weights and pay excessive attention to diet.
-This preoccupation causes major distress or impairs the person's social or professional life. The person may forego important social, work-related or recreational activities. They may avoid situations where their body will be exposed. The person continues to work out or diet even when they know it could hurt their health or well-being.
-The focus of the person's concerns is on being too small or not muscular enough, as opposed to concerns about being fat.

considering that anorexia is an abnormal loss of the appetite for food, then obesity is surely the opposite in some way? SOME not all obese people are that way due to having an excessive appetite for food and thus are extremely overweight

No, there isn't anything like that documented. Generally an obese person just doesn't care, they don't look in the mirror and think they are thin.

yes there is but it ends up to the compulsive eating disorder or bulimia...usually happens to skinny girls who realize at some point that they are thin enough and they can eventually stop this way of life and start eating normally and enjoy food but they turn out to become bulimic and depressed..
