I don't think there's anything wrong with evolutionary creationism. However, many fundamentalists clearly do, since Intelligent Design is NOT the same as evolutionary creationism, since it stresses the Christian god and the Christian god alone as the source of the creation. It does not innocently imply "some random higher power", it is clearly the god of Abraham that the ID people are talking about when they push this in schools.
And anyway, evolutionary creationism isn't something that would need to be taught in schools. If people truly are deeply rooted in their faith and smart enough to comprehend science, they should be able to accept that they don't necessarily contradict each other (the conclusion that you've clearly drawn). The whole evolution vs. creation problem has arisen because fundamentalists are insistent that the world was created EXACTLY as outlined in the Bible, and that the earth is no older than 6,000 years, which we know to be false.

Can science and faith live together and get along? Absolutely! In fact not only do they get along but I think they are intertwined. Not only does science allow for faith but it proves all that we believe in. Christianity is not a brainwashing religion, it does not empty your head of logical things to fill it full of unicorns, big foot, and aliens. I admit though there are some Christians that do accept whatever they are told blindly, both good and bad, but so do those that believe only in science (hence unicorns, big foot and aliens...) So the question now is: just how does science mix with faith.
First, science proves that what we believe is not just fairy tales or legends but actual events that happened at some point in time. Archaeological and anthropological discoveries are made practically everyday that back up the events, place, and people that the Bible presents to us. Never has an archaeological discovery disproved the Bible. Scientists that study ancient texts show that the Bible is a reliable document with more copies with fewer errors than other widely accepted factual historical documents. Secondly, science is a part of our world. It is in everything and makes up everything. Science is a part of creation and what God uses to physically hold creation together. A Christian cannot dismiss science as not useful because it makes up everything that is visible. Without science the believer could not believe because there would not be any evidence or anyway to convey (i.e. by writing, by nature, by speaking) that which we believe. Lastly, faith is apart of everything just as science is, even for the non-believer. We all have faith that the sun will rise tomorrow, that the theories we believe in our true, and that whatever religion we believe in is true. Faith is a part of human nature.

Ummm because the whole foundation of the religion was formed on the basis that God Created the heavens and the earth in 6 days, Secondly people who believe in Evolution don't think we come from minerals. I mean either god Created adam in a Magical garden with a talking snake...and he created eve from his rib or he didnt. The bible doesn't say that God Said let there be smaller forms of life from which over billions of years they will evolved into God fearing Christians.

Strict creationists take a very literal form of biblical interpretation. If you look at Genesis chapter 1 it has the world being created in seven days. It has Eve (the first woman) being created when Adam is in a deep sleep and Eve is formed from his rib. Her name "woman" suggests that women are formed from man.
However, a more complete interpretation should involve a study of the culture, times, and literary forms used by authors of scripture. This would constitute a more classical form of interpretation. From this form of interpretation we would not regard a day of creation as a literal 24-hours. Nor would it be necessary to have woman literally created from a rib of man.
So, to answer your question.
Yes, you can have evolution used by God as a function of creation. And that is what the Pope supports.

I don't believe this is as far-fetched as it may seem upon first glance. Theists will forever try to find a way to justify their religion in spite of challenges to their god of gaps from science. Nowadays, most christians believe the world is round, and they conveniently say that the "four corners of the world" references in the bible are "not literal." Many of us think the tower of babel is just nonsense, christians refer to their packet of answers and pull out the "not literal" explanation.
Of course, god could have just stated "life came from non-life, because everything within the universe is made from the smallest amounts of matter possible. This matter naturally reproduced itself, but couldn't reproduce exactly, so it made 'mistakes,' and by doing so this matter became living." But we get a creation from dust story instead.
When the more ignorant people die off, and the population becomes more intelligent as a whole, this will be the next irrational reconciliation that theists have to offer. They'll say, "Oh, that creation story isn't literal!!!"

Because that goes against the whole Idea of evolution. The belief that there is no god is central to the argument. How god made man does not matter, because according to them god did not make man!!!! Mud swirled with slime made them and they are proud of it. I dont know about you, but I wouldnt be bragging about my intelligence, if I were a descendant of an ape. They better get nervous, I just developed the theory of reverse evolution, and they are going to go in reverse, like EVERYTHING in science does. Chaos theory, there is no perfect reaction, in every reaction energy is lost. But somehow evolution defeats the laws of physics and reverses the trend to make an explosion turn into perfect order. Come on, now whos in fantasy land?

i trust especially layout (creation), and am confident with the help of medical learn that that is authentic. i become confident of evolutionary doctrine. the point is that neither creation or evolution would properly be conclusively shown as actuality, there is not any longer sufficient strong medical evidence for both. the in user-friendly words reason evolution has correct right here that's does is enormous media interest and authorities funding. If an same quantity of media and funding were placed in direction of creation learn, i trust there might want to be extra medical evidence for creation. What grinds me the most is the close-mindedness of the evolution crowd that their theory is the in user-friendly words one accessible, and there won't be able to be the different. As stated earlier, they ought to commit an same quantity of learn to exhibit layout in the adventure that they are really impartial.

If we evolved from apes, then why are there still apes?
Why didn't they all evolve?
And, how do you expain how the human body works just right and the earth is in just the right spot for humans to habitate?
Plants create oxygen that we breathe and they, in turn use the CO2 that we exhale. All works together, but that just happened? Or it 'evolved' over centuries? I don't think so.
Are you trying to tell me that there was a big bang and everything just fell into place?
We share some DNA because we share a Creator - God!

There are many people who accept that, if God created humans, he did it through evolution. Not all Christians deny evolution.
You are correct in that the Bible does not go into specifics in such a way as to rule out evolution. This idea is based on one interpretation. It would be (and is) the propagation of misinformation to tell people that evolution is completely incompatible with the Bible.

Because we're Carbon based life forms - if we were made from clay we'd be Silicon based.
Also that doesn't explain why we share 98% of our DNA with chimpanzees does it?
Why is there no movement called 'evolutionary creationism' because they're contradictory in the same way scientific creationism is an oxymoron.
One more piece of advice - its a bit pathetic to think about science after looking at scripture. Get yourself some scientific text books, you sure sound like you need some basics on chemistry and biology.
