Some ideas on rockabilly hairstyles?

Question

I need some help on how to rock a rockabilly hairstyle...However I've found out that my hair doesn't hold curls very well...so any tips on how to get my hair to hold curls(other than a perm) would be amazing as well.

I'm not looking to actually cut my hair(aside from like a few inches. but nothing crazy) Umm..and if all else fails, maybe I will cut it. haha I'm not too hard to please.

Well according to your avatar you have the Betty Paige bangs which is a good start. Play up your bangs so that they are the main focus of your hair. Tie your hair back with a bandanna or a scarf and let the ends of the scarf hang with your pony tail. If you're looking to curl your hair and your hair just won't stay, try pining your hair at the sides. Take a bobby pin and pin a wide section of your hair to the side. Either let the rest of your hair hang free or pin the other side back too. Or throw your hair in really high pony tail and make a messy bun on the top of your head. Either form a pomp with your bangs or let your Betty bangs hang. Then tie a bandanna around your head with the ends of the bandanna tied in the front. Have you tried a firm holding spray for your curls? Don't use rollers to achieve curls, use a ceramic curling iron like Hot Tools. It's best if you use a 1/2 inch barrel. Spray the heck out of the curls to make them last. Either way, good luck and have fun experimenting with your hair!
