Why does killing in the name of God and/or sanctioned by His WORD, continue to be the underlying basis for most terrorist activities in modern times? It seems the hellish and blood-spattered lessons of the Crusades has once again been lost on humanity. ... How does one ever hope to reach God through fanaticism and acts of bloodshed?!!

I am, but I'm a double O Uber Christian. My authority comes from God, it was special agent of God Gabriel the Arch Angel ( In the trade we call Him G. ) that gave me the nod though. The way You reach God once Your anointed into the double O thing is this cool cell phone they give You, they call it an "Arc" and it's all gold, really cool! Well I hope that helped, I'm off to my latest assignment later today. God's really pissed off at some Venezuelan Guy!

We live in a World that often requires necessary evils.
Killing anyone is wrong. But it is necessary sometimes to protect onesself or others. One should always give quarter. Show mercy
when a man is down. But should death result from the heat of battle. What can be said?
Religion of course is only one way the Power hungry manipulate the masses in order to gt them to do their bidding. There is also racism, nationalism. And while the masses are killing each other, the Power hungry sit around eating caviar, drinking champaigne, and make witty comments.

Wise men justify their own inconcistencies(from the bible). More people do what they want and try to justify it in the name of God. It's an imperfect world and you might have to kill someday to save a life. But I think we have an obligation to preserve life whenever possible, even when we are angry and looking for someone to take it out on.

Certainly you can kill by order of God, so long as you have a written order from God, with three trusted govt. officials witnessing the signature.

See, it's not really that difficult to figure out or a big secret. It all has to do with what the brain's been fed. And funny, it's always the few who have been doing the cooking and feeding. And saddly enough they themselves, remain hungry.

The Crusades, misguided as they were, happened as a response to the treatment Christians and Jews were receiving in what was then called Palestine. Christians and Jews are still being persecuted today in the name of allah. What is our response to evil supposed to be? To just let it happen? Or to defend our brothers and sisters? You can sit on your moral high horse if you want to, but I choose to fight!

The God of the Bible doesnt authorise anyone to kill in His Name. God is against this. Killing is a sin and Jesus didnt die to give us authorisation to sin in His Name, He died to purify us from sin.

God allows us to kill in self-defense and/or to save a life. He also allows us to go to war in self-defense and to save a people/nation.

Read Deuteronomy: you are ordered to kill those who don't follow your God, or who aren't virgins when married (among other things...)
