How long do you think will the Middle Easern Jihad will last?

I guess that's spelled right--Middle Eastern Jihad.

call me fickle, but I don't interrpret Jihad as being brought forth by religon. That actually inflames some Muslims to anger, to suggest it. The Jihadist, in my opinion, would be dangerous criminals no matter what culture or society they were from.

I'd say it's about halfway over...which only leaves us like 2, maybe 3000 more years of the same people fight for the same sand, because that's all that society knows or understands...They only listen to force...Excessive force...Which is why Saddam ruled Iraq with an "Iron Fist,"...If not, he would have been killed, or overthrown...Because we are fighting an irrational, ideology, that is so engrained in to their culture, and so far from anything resembling humanity, the only way to end the Jihad, is to make the Israeli's and American's leave that part of the world and let the arabs kill each other, or, we can, and I support this option, we annihilate them...We end the existance of a culture that has had more time, and evolved less than probably any other culture on earth, for 1...Makes us their enemy, 2...Can not, as a society at large, get with the *****' program, we call the civilized world...And we send a message to the world that we are the Roman Empire of the 21st Century, and at the end of the day, our intentions may not always be right, but more often than not, we are trying to leave the world better that we found it...We are the most powerful nation on earth, and any group of people that tries to challenge that, are not in touch with reality enough to ever become a productive society

For as long as there is a strongly Fundamentalist Dominant world view in the Middle East.

Islam today is not how it was 500 years ago (or even 100 years ago). It is really only in the last 60 years that we have seen such fundamentalism in the Islamic religion. And that Fundamentalism is what is driving the region into greater and greater conflicts.

The current situation may last 1 more year, it may last another 2,000 years. It will continue until a Moderate branch of Islam is able to gain the "hearts and minds" of it's people. If that happens, we may even see a new "Golden Age" appear.

To give an idea, under true Islamic Law, Christians and Jews are both "People Of The Book". Therefore, they are not Infidels. Yet under Fundamentalism, everybody that is not Islamic (or Suni or Shi'a) are "Infidels", and are to be killed. Until this mindset changes, there will always be conflict in the region.

Islam in it's self is innocuous as are most religions. In the teachings of the Koran as professed is that Sharia is the law they adhere too, Sharia law is a 8th century remnant that goes against societal norms. The "fanatical islamo-fascists" bent on world destruction believe that through Jihad the Messiah will come. Well, that said, people are people, I think a person can believe what they wish as long as their belief does not inhibit my ability to believe what I choose.

Islam has three tenants for dealing with non-muslims, Convert to islam, tax and enslave, or kill. While the majority of muslims don't feel this doctrine is valid, the islamo-fascists that are soon to enplace Sharia in Europe with have countless infidels to deal with..

I would recommend some reading before you give islam a pass, read Robert Spencer's book "The Political Incorrect Guide to Islam" and also see if you can get a copy of the DVD "Obsession" which is a very good documentary of radical islam and a must see for anyone who questions why some muslims are creating a very dangerous situation for this planet.

I've known people of all faiths, from Jew, Muslim, Christian Buddhist, Hindu, Wiccan, and each one have the view that their religion is the "only" correct one and "if only" people would see what they see the world would be a better place..

What baffles me is that the supposed "peaceful" muslims and their clerics don't condemn these radicals for fear of reprisal, guess what by denying a problem exists won't make it go away. Muslim radicals killed 3000+ people in NYC and DC on 9/11/01, in my opinion the was is not on Terror, we need to call it what it is, you can't fight an ideology, you need to fight an enemy, radicals are the enemy, the direction their clerics preach is a global sharia under a new Caliphate (muslim pope)..

Do a google on Sharia, you will find many of the same things as you'd find in the Old testament book of Leviticus, while these "laws" were fine and dandy 2000 years ago, the social implications are not valid today.

Who's Jihad: The Islamic Extemists or the Christian Right Wing? Maybe the gun runner's or drug dealer's? Maybe the people who wear the diamonds with which guns are bought or the SUV's we all drive that consume twice the gasoline that people need for transportation? and these things will end when america changes the policy handling middle east
