If you're a man like me and I believe the word of God from cover to cover...and I know without a doubt that Gods word is without fail...because that would mean ..God failed ...then you would know that it is impossible for a man to leave this life without hearing the gospel preached...somehow someway...God will make a way for them to hear...Let me show you a verse in the bible ...
Ecclesiastes 9:11.........I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

Now some people would think that this verse implies God works with chance....Chance here does not mean,....luck or random..happenings...chance here means opportunity...Because Gods way is a way of justice ...he will not allow anybody to leave here without first hearing...His mercy is so great...that...for those back in the days in the bible around the time of Noah...ones who did not readily have access to the law and the prophets(the Old testament)...since they did NOT have access ..God being a just God even gave them an opportunity....first let me say like Paul and Jesus both...taught that a man who has no knowledge of the law ...cannot be held accountable....BUT ...if he knows then it is accounted to him..paul said in Romans 7:7.........
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.....
Vs 9 ... For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.....So Paul was basically saying that when He did not know something was wrong...he was alive...he lived....but when knowledge of the law came or of that thing that is sin...sin according to Romans 6:23 says the wages of sin is death...then We came under the law ...and thereby ..fell under the stipulation of the penalty..of the law which is death....and that's apparent...because ...we all die....Now Jesus had reiterated these things..but went a step further..
in John 15:22....Jesus said...If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin....Why?...because Jesus made it plain ...and Now there is no more excuse...For anybody...because Jesus came...as I said the ones around Noahs time who did not have access God still gave them opportunity even while they were in hell...Jesus went to hell and preached to them...
Look at 1 Peter 3:18-19........
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the spirit:
19. By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;...
Prison is in the bible a similitude of hell...and since the bible mentions spirits...then it is obvious..he is referring to hell...LET me be clear....Hell was the only place ...for people who departed...but ..those who were believers...and had a relationship..went to Abrahams bosom...which was located in the proximity of hell...because heaven was not open yet...
Read Luke 16:20-31...but pay attention to ..vs ..30..And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence....so you see ..hell and a place of comfort were ..in the same place....So Jesus went down to heaven to retrieve not only those who were in Abrahams bosom but ...he preached to those spirits in prison...who never had access to the law and prophets....the bible says...he took captivity captive...Ephesians 4:8.... Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men....Look even further at the next 2 verses...9-10...
9. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10. He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.).....The verses are talking about Jesus ...that when he died ..he went to hell...where the spirits are captive..and took those who believed...from both Abrahams bosom...and hell...you might be thinking right now ..but imagine that there were some in hell who had still one more chance..to choose Jesus...and still rejected him...so ..NO Jesus didn't take every body from hell..only those...who choose Jesus rightly.....Because we serve a Just God ...Just enough to give even..ones who thought there would be no more chance ...another chance...thank God we serve a God of another chance....God bless

They will be judged according to their conscience. Conscience is the Voice of God in the human spirit, and is used as a "moral regulator". This is where the sense of right and wrong come into play, if there is neither Gospel, nor the Law available to them. God has a way of making sure people know good from evil, and will have no excuse at the judgement. The Holy Spirit also works thru peoples' consciences. God will reveal Himself to these people somehow. For example, Abraham was made righteous by God, by simply believing Him, at His revealing. He was an idolater before God called him to obey and serve Him. They will also be judged by their works on how they lived their life. This is ONLY for those people who have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Another example is Paul, formerly Saul, who was a Jew who persecuted the Christian church, did it in ignorance. He had the Law, but obtained mercy because he did not know it was wrong to persecute the Church. This is why Jesus revealed Himself the way He did in Acts ch. 9.

Do you think God who is so loving (just look at some wonderful examples of his creation) would ever let people not have a chance to know of his Son and thus get to know about him and his purposes? There is the hope of a resurrection for those who have not had the opportunity to learn of him and his son. In the Bible, for those who choose not to hear anything about Jesus and have made a life choice, but for now a worldwide work is being done in which all people living will be given an opportunity to learn all about it. And for the resurrection in the future to come, many who come back will be taught, and later given an opportunity to decide if this is something they want to live with or not (Rev.)

There is a promise in Ecclesiates 3:11, God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end.

Couple that with, Romans 2:5-16:
There is going to come a day of judgment when God, the just judge of all the world, will judge all people according to what they have done. He will give eternal life to those who persist in doing what is good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and practice evil deeds. There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on sinning-for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. But there will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good-for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.
God will punish the Gentiles when they sin, even though they never had God's written law. And he will punish the Jews when they sin, for they do have the law. For it is not merely knowing the law that brings God's approval. Those who obey the law will be declared right in God's sight. Even when Gentiles, who do not have God's written law, instinctively follow what the law says, they show that in their hearts they know right from wrong. They demonstrate that God's law is written within them, for their own consciences either accuse them or tell them they are doing what is right. The day will surely come when God, by Jesus Christ, will judge everyone's secret life. This is my message.

I've posted this before, but it's the right time to do it again, I think:

Years ago, a Christian missionary went out to convert the Inuits in the remote reaches of present day northern Canada. This missionary met a wise old fisherman and told him the story of Jesus. He explained to the old Inuit that his soul could only be saved by accepting Christ as his personal savior.

The old Inuit pondered this for a moment and said to the missionary "My ancestors never heard of Jesus and did not know they needed to accept Him in order to be saved. Does this mean they went to this place you call Hell?"

The missionary replied, "No, God does not condemn those who are ignorant to His teachings."

The old Inuit then asked, "Would I have gone to hell if I had not met you and been taught about Jesus?"

The missionary told him he would not have gone to Hell either. The old man considered this for a long time, then he looked at the missionary with a puzzled look on his face.

"Then," the old Inuit asked, "Why did you tell me?"

I like the idea expressed by the woman at the well, and as Jesus saw no reason to deny her words and did in fact make her a disciple with his words.Read John 4 starting at vs 21 thru 26. It encourages me that God's will is that no one should perish. Surely they will have the Supreme witness sometime in their eternal lives.

Depends on what their personal religion is. Not all people of first world countries have heard the "word of Jesus". I'm a native-born American citizen and I'm a Pagan Priestess. Therefore, I believe I'll be reincarnated for more lifetimes to come. Other beliefs have other happenings after death; and they will will go or do whatever their faith believes. Besides, all gods are one god. There is only one way to really find out what happens to people when they die...and that is your death to see with your own eyes. Although, I hope that isn't anytime soon!!!

that is between God and those individuals.
God is a fair and just God.
He will not condemn a person who has not heard the truth of salvation through Jesus Christ for not having heard it.

Maybe they've heard the Word of Buddha, or Krishna, or Zoroaster? or other true Prophets?

I'm sure they will be forgiven by God.
