I absolutely ADORE pitt bulls!
My brother has one her name is Daisy. She is more sweet and gentle than my English Setter and Golden Retriever. She is great with the 9 month old baby and wonderful with the 11 year old, all the other kids in between. (We have a rather large family!)
They tug her ears, tail, chase her, she chases them, they lay on her, take her for walks, take her by themselves to the park (and she listens perfectly), take toys and even food out of her mouth, feed her, play in the water and food bowl and i have NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER heard her growl, bark or anything.
She is an amazing dog.

I have a pitbull that i found wandering around by my home. He was about 2 months old when we found him. He is brindle in color and his name is Chopper. I ABSOLUTELY HATE the rep that pitbulls have. My baby is the sweetest, smartest dog I have ever had. He is now 8 months old. He picks up tricks and commands so quick...The people who made the dogs fight should have the bad rep, not the dogs!

I have a 9 year old Cane Corso/American Pitt Bull cross male, Sigmound (named after the famous pysch doc! cause he psychs people out haha) I got him as a neglected and abused ex fighting dog. He's 95 lbs of solid muscle now, but when I got him as a 2 year old he weighed 49 lbs, almost dead and both ears were cut off. People are terrified just looking at him. Both these breeds are highly feared. He is a handful, I got him at 2 years old, he was very aggressive with other dogs, but such a beautiful dog sweet dog with people. I stuck with him through it all, he now lives in my family of 6 dogs, several foster dogs, 4 cats and many animals. Though I can never let my gaurd down with him around dogs he doesnt know. He is totally balanced and well trained. My most recent foster coonhound and him became fast friends, and though I never have seen him do this before in our 7 years together, he has now invited her to sleep with him on his big pillow. He will help me rehabilitate her thank god.

My brother has a black pitbull named Nala and she is the sweetest dog. She loves to play and loves attention and treats! I don't know why pitbulls get such a bad rap in the media.

I love pits. I don't have one, but I've had an extensive amount of experience with them through friends, and for some reason most abused pits will warm up to me very quickly. At any rate, I really hate the stigma they have, I think it's really uncalled for. People who fight their dogs should have the crap beat out of them and the term "dog abuser" tattoo'ed on their foreheads. (Just my opinion.) I can't count how many times I've been out in public with my friends and their dogs, and people have tried to say the dogs were vicious and pulled their kids away. I've dispelled the myth a lot with the people who were willing to listen. I like to cite Big Boi from Outkast. He bred them (he might still breed them.) and on Cribs his 3 year old daughter walked into the pen of Pits, and she was safe. They didn't bite her, they didn't try to knock her down, nor were they ripping each other apart. Big Boi looked at the camera and said point blank, "They say Pit Bulls are vicious, but look at my little girl. They wouldn't harm her for anything." Also, Cesar Millan has got a pack of reformed fighting dogs who live in peace with each other. The myth needs to be killed once and for all.....

I've had 3 all great dogs . 0 people agression and never any problem. The medias campaign to report Only Pit Bites ,really pi$$es me off. They are very cool dogs, I've not known a bad one and have been around many. See my last few questions regarding Pits and dog bites. You can see Holli at www.hollithesidecardog.com we're working on a website for her.

Yes, I love my pitbull and he is absolutely adorable and kind! I am angry that I have to lie to insurance people and tell them he is a mutt and dont know what he is because if they find out his breed they wont insure me. He is very sweet and wouldnt hurt a fly....blame it on the folks in the hood who wanna make some money on their poor animals and fight them...our pit bulls as sweet as they are, are packed with all the equipment to kill...but this is not their nature...they need to be trained to do this.

I love my red nosed pit she has a great temperament, and dose so well with kids and people i can't imagine having another dog, the irony is that i have had other dogs that everyone says are great and i hated them. i was scared of her when we found her ( she wander on to our porch dieing of lime disease) because of the rep they have. the vet believed she was put to fight, and used to breed and nearly killed, They got tired she out lived her useful ness and they dumped her. i can imagine why they would do something like that to a dog as great as she is. i can't even see how they could get away with it. the doc said she was dieing, and had we not brought her to our doc dead on our porch. i am not much of a dog person i never have been, but again i can't imagin life with out her. we have had her for 2 years, and if you ask me she is the best thing that happened to our family in a while, she chose us, if you think about it.
