Statistics seem to indicate it's got something to do with immigrants from muslim countries.

Could be any one of a number of reasons: -
Are the police procedures better in Norway that victims will report more? Just because it doesn't reflect in NY's stats doesn't mean it isn't happening.
Does the NY policy of zero tolerance have a bearing on the commission of such crime?
Is there some reason such as serial rapists who commit a number of offences and so skew the figures?
Perhaps the reporting methods are different - ie what would be classed as a rape in Norway is classed as something different in NY?

i admire how the Muslims dont deny this fact, yet fairly shift the finished blame on you for being "racist". all of sudden Islam isn't a ideology yet a race (i admire how they simply %. and choose). If a Muslim grow to be to circulate on a raping spree; they nonetheless wouldnt have self assurance it! Such denial they're in (as though Muslims are a severe-high quality human race or some thing)!!!!

Perhaps the law is less strict in Oslo so more people are convicted. The US has a abysmal record for convictions on rape charges as it really is a he said /she said situation and the proscecuting attorneys only will take a case they can convict for sure so some never get even charged let long convicted.

The RATE of sexual assault i.e. in proportion to the population is higher but not the actual number-get your facts straight.
Edit-I've looked at several sources and the figure is very dubious.
