My boyfriend recently broke up with me and he said the main reason was because he couldn't handle me being a virgin at twenty five. I am experienced with every other type of sexual act, and even he said that I was quite talented, especially for someone who has never had sex. I am not unatracttive, and iIhave had boyfriends, I just haven't found any body who I tought was special enough to have sex with yet. I thought after he told me he loved me that he might be my first, so I told him, figuring he had the right to to know if anything did ever happen between us. Being a virgin is something I never told anyone else except him, although quite recently I told my best friend. Instead, he used it against me and said he couldn't deal with being my first. What does that mean? I always though men thought virgins were hot, and if he loved me, why couldn't he just respect the fact, and be glad I told him the truth?

His other reason for us breaking up was that he wasn't "ready" for another relationship. He broke up with his girlfriend of like five years in august. And yes, he did say that females do tend to cling on to their first sexual partners.

At least some of you prooved that there are decent guys out there...

OK men, at least me, when i was single, loved virgins.

so it seems to me this guy was A. being nice or B. just wanted out.

A. he was being nice, meaning he just wanted sex, then after finding out you were a vergin he felt bad didnt want to take that from you so he left you.

B. like i said he just wanted out so he broke it off with a dumbass excuse.

good luck

thats not the cause for the break up, he has other issues he is not telling you. A lot of men are worried that if you are their first that you will be obssesed with him and its true being a first to a girl really changes the relationship. It can go both ways in weither it works out. Personally a girl being a virgin doesnt really have an effect on me either way in terms of being "hot". But inexpeirence is not something I look for in a girl, but of course I dont look for sluts either. I believe if he really loved you that It wouldnt matter to him, so there is deff. something else.

The honest answer is that this was coming and he now found an excuse (though stupid) to break up with you. Trust me he did not break up with you because you are a Virgin.

No there is nothing wrong with being a virgin and saving yourself for the right person. I do applaud you for sticking to your guns and waiting for that right person. You now know that he was not that person so be happy he is out of your life adn find yourself someone deserving of your virginity

I think the guy is a jerk and he feels bad because he maybe just wanted to have sex with you, but once you said you were a virgin that changed everything. He would feel really lousy for having sex with you and dumping you after wards. If he really loves you and wants to be with you he would wait and if you say you can do other things without getting into the act then I see no problem. I would like to have a girl like that.
