There is no such thing as "teacup" dog. some breeders advertise them this way. They breed for small size and call it "teacup." This can lead to problems because if dogs are bred smaller than their size standard, they often can suffer from health problems from being too small. Stick to puppies from parents that within the size standard for their breed.

Be careful with "teacup" poms. Some people try to sell the runt of the litter as a "teacup." The runts of litters can be sickly and may need a lot of medical attention you might not be able to provide. If they are selling a whole litter, be careful because the internal organs of poms are meant for a specific size range that an extra-small dog might not be able to accommodate i.e. you could get a very sick dog. There are no such things as "teacup poms" only gimmicks and scams.

Aything smaller than the standard, though you'll find pple who claim they have a "teacup" whatever that falls right smack dab in the middle of the standard.

Teacup is a term used to sell what is essentially a runt *maybe born of other runts for generations* for more money than it's worth. I say it's worth less only because they tend to have medical issues and will cost you a lot no matter what you pay, therefore they shoul't be charging you out the butt for a dog that'll need some serious vet care later in life.

Get yourself a pom from a real breeder, rescue, or shelter.

There is no breed standard for this size, as this is not an accepted size for the breed. Teacup is a term used as a marketing technique and this size of dog is not an accepted size in the breed standard.

There's no such thing as a Teacup. Some are simply smaller than others.

No such thing. It's just a smaller dog then the standards. Breeders call them this to charge more.
