This semester chemistry was a challenge for me, I took all the necessary steps to recieve help throughout the semester. I invested many many hours. I got perfect scores on all quizes and other graded components of the course. I ended up getting a C- and I need a C in all my chemistry in order to count for my major or i have to retake it.I took a crash course for the final exam, which took up all of my time and prevented me from studying for my other 4 finals. I learned..but it was late hours and I did not get sleep. Anyhow, the night before my chem final the course was extended until 5am and i had been there since 8pm. During the exam I was soo out of it, I walked out knowing I did not do well, and I knew the information, but my brain was just like delayed. I e-mailed my professor not right after i recieved my grade but recently in time for this new semester.I told him i wanted to set an appt.to speak about my grade..what should Is say..I'm willing to do extra credit, good idea??

How could your grade be so low if all your quizes and graded components were A work. The final exam would have had to count for more than half of your grade in order to get a C-. I would definitely speak to the professor find out where the other weaknesses were and if there is anything else you can do. If anything it will show you what you have to do this second time around. How does a course get extended? I have never heard of anything like that. I teach college. Something is wrong and if your professor doesnt come up with something extremely logical I would go talk to the dean.
