I was at a gymnastics meet and I broke my ankle. My b/f ended up carrying me to the trainer, but he felt bad b/c I was crying.
Why do guys hate to see girls cry??
Even his friend felt bad. He said he felt bad especially when I came out on crutches, and ended us with third place(out of 60)
He thought I did good but I told him I didn't think so.
Why does he think I did good when I think I did bad??
Why do all the guys get excited when a gymnast does a cool trick and go "oooooh" when she falls?? Don't they know it makes it worse??
I wasn't trying to get anything from him, Just b/c it hurt so bad. Do you think he was glad he was there for me or wished he wasn't?

Guys feel bad when a girl cries because for some unknown reason they think they could have prevented it. They don't always realize that it's not their fault and end up feeling guilty. I wondered about the same question until I had a guy friend of mine fully explain it to me. As for why he thought you did good even though you didn't think so... is you always look so much better from the eyes of someone that loves you than the way you look at yourself. Finally guys get all excited because they get really into no matter what they're doing so when someone does well it's really exciting and when someone doesn't do so well they are a little surprised by the mistake. It doesn't mean anything and you shouldn't take the ooooohs personally because guys don't realize it's making things worse. They try to be insensitive and don't usually understand how girls feel.

I think it's instinct. Guys are wired to want to "take care" of girls. This is why I think that they feel bad when they may see a girl cry. An interesting comparison- the military does not allow females to be in the infantry. This is because many believe that if a woman was killed or wounded while she was fighting right next to a man, the man would feel bad, try to take care of the woman, and lose sight of the battle that was going on, decreasing his ability to keep fighting. That is how they explained it while I was in basic training.

Sympathy pains. He's your boyfriend and he feels hurt when he see you in pain. This is not uncommon and it shows he really cares for you. This I can see but when a girl cries to get something or get out of something, personally I tend to get mad. I'm older than most of the guys on these boards and I've seen so much in my life. I've gotten mad enough to break up with a girl that cries to get what she wants. So many girls have used this to their advantage and it makes me sick but you have a good boyfriend and he really cares for you.
No need to wonder, accept it and love him for it.

guys dont like to see girls cry because it shows that you are vulnerable......the guys want to show the girls an image of them being all tough
