I am 20 years old, and weigh 140 lbs. I would like to gain a lot of muscle quickly. I am taking whey protein and working out 5 times a week. Is creatine safe for me to use, what does it do? How long before I notice a gain in muscle mass, and weight? Any other advice for gaining muscle mass quickly?

I'm 20 as well and have been taking creatine since 11th grade. This stuff works but you gotta lift hard in the weight room to see results. Your first time taking it you should easily gain 10lbs within a couple months. Some of this is due to water being saturated into your muscles but as long as your lifting hard you'll also increase lean body mass. Increase your calorie intake by drinking a weight gainer. You can get them cheap at GNC. As far as safety, nothing really is safe if you dont know how to use it. Creatine should be cycled so your body doesn't become dependent. Hey, im 20 also, and ive taken creatine and i take protein. If you go for creatine just remember that it stores water weight in the muscles which make you look good for a while, but then you kind of shrink after. So if its a vacation thing in march, then take it for 3 weeks until you leave. But if you don't have to then you don't need it. Do take whey protein. it will help your muscles recover and give them nutrition to grow. Try taking the optimum nutrition whey protein. I think that is the best and best tasting. If you want, look into NO Xplode. It will work, it does for me. I take it now with a lot of my buddies and we all like it. It has a little creatine in it too but it is mainly like an energy thing. It helps you lift more and stay focused and recover. And remember to work out different muscle groups everyday if you go every day. And eat a lot more, but healthy food. I gained about 8lbs in 3 weeks on No Xplode and protein. It will work, just make sure you don't over do it. Good luck.
