He got a bit confused bless him. When Ronnie won the penultimate frame, Ding thought he had lost the match, whereas Ronnie still had to win another one.

I think he was rather upset because of a very pro-ronnie crowd, and that a small number made some fun of him. They won't be laughing in 5 years time when Ding is world no. 1!
But it was really ronnie at his best last night, and no one could beat that performance.

I think he was frustrated, he missed more shots than usual and then he had to just sit and watch Ronnie making those fenomenal breaks. and of course the nasty comments from the public didn't help at all

but it was no reason to get THAT upset, really, he's a great player and he reached the final, AND he made a 147 break in this tournament, that's pretty good! but i guess he wanted everything

The abuse he got from some members of the audience didn't help though, did it?
Good thing they hadn't been abusing Ronnie: he'd have gone in and smacked some of them, a bit like Eric Cantona, or Toulouse's Trevor Brennan did at the weekend.

I think he did. Phenominal talent though he is, he is just a kid, and it must have been hard for him to understand how he got thumped like that. And the crowd were so partisan. I know its politically incorrect to say this, but his usually inscrutable face was, for a moment (to coin a word) 'scrutable'!
He has a lot of time, and before you know it, he will be crying for joy after winning a big one!

I think he was so confident he is going to win and then he saw he is very far away from the class of Ronnie.
