1. To prove to the possum it could actually be done!
2. Because the chicken was gay! Isn't it obvious? Can't you people see the plain truth in front of your face?
The chicken was going to the "other side."
That's what "they" call it the "other side."

George Bush told the chicken to go, because there was 'supposedly' WMD's on the other side. However the chicken realised that she was lied to. Soon afterwards she was killed in action, leaving a rooster and several eggs behind.
