I think the only way to understand your partner is to spend time with them. This is something that won't come over night. Not assuming anything is the best rule you can have. EST.. communication is understanding. Not forceful, but teaching them how to communicate with you on your level, and saying everything and anything that's on your heart, so they won't be any misconceptions. Looking into the eyes of your partner while they speak to you can tell you great things. The way they touch you is understanding. Allot of times men won't say things but once, they say if I told you once, then you already know, if you have a partner like that, then you have to watch the way they do things, touch you, make love to you, talk to you and you can understand them . I think women spend so much time wanting to talk and tell the man all about us, so the men will know how we want to be treated, until we miss what the man is saying. Listen to what they say. Let his every word be as important as your words. Take nothing for granted. If a man tell you ''NO'' then he means "NO''.Understand the sound of their voice, when they're happy you can hear it, when their upset, you can hear it, when they are bing sexy, you can hear, when they are hiding things, you can hear it ect...When making love to your partner, learn the rythme of their body, it can tell you what they are feeling, even the thoughts that they are having about you at that moment. Learning how to bond with your partner is understanding too. It will also make you closer. I've learned to lie down facing my partner while there's nothing playing on tv. radio ect.. and began to rub his arm, chest, back, legs, hands and finger tips. Don't say a word. just feel each other and your bodies began to become one. I don't know if it's the key to true love, but it sure don't hurt to find out. I have never done this with all the partners that I have had in my life time, but the one that I felt it was a sure thing, has lasted for many years and he spoils me to death.

Maybe...but don't forget that you also need to be attracted to your partner, both physically and mentally too. The key, if there is one, is to realize when someone satisfies your desires and will be able to do so over the long haul.

I don,t really think you get to understand your mate completely,it,s not easy.sometimes yes it leads to true love but not everyone has that luck.getting to understand someone really requiers lots time and patience but above all that love that has a limit to how much someone can really take.
