im 26 and still have occasional breakouts, i thought the same thing, that i thought i would outgrow it. and most soaps either dry out your skin or make it worse. my neighbor had proactive and i used it for about a week and it worked great. i would try that if i were u. also what im using now, its that apricot scrub by st. ives, it works pretty good and my skin is so super soft. i would go with the proactiv, it may seem expensive but it would be worth it right? good luck.

If you are a female, you might want to try going on birth control pills. If you have a hormonal problem, that would help you.
You really should drink about 8 glasses of water a day. (8oz)
If you use a lot of products on your face (makeup, soap, acne medications), best to stop. They dry your skin and irritate it.
If you must wear liquid makeup, buy something of good quality that is hypoallergenic (Clinique at department stores is very good).
I use their superbalanced makeup, and use a couple drops of dramatically different moisturizing gel every night after washing my face. Don't bother with their cleansing products.
If you have a problem with dead dry skin, use a tiny bit of total turnaround cream once every one or two weeks. All this will cost ou about $60, but it is worth it if you already spend a lot on makeup.
Use the mildest soap possible. I use Aveeno baby wash/shampoo on my face. It smells like heaven and is so mild.
I started using it because I had it around the house for my baby's bath, and it worked! A bottle of that stuff on your face should last an entire year.

I'm almost 31 and still dealing with acne. Have you thought about your skin care regimen? It's normal to get acne at pretty much any age. At the age of 89 my grand father still got an occasional pimple. If you pop pimples they will leave scars and they are irreversible. Talk to your dermatologist or even your general practitioner. They can help with different medications. Teen acne is different than adult and is usually treated in a different way.

Acne doesn't just stop when you turn 21, you can get acne at any time in your life. For example, my friends mom is 41 and still has acne. To try and treat it, wash your face everyday, and you can try otc treatment or talk to your doctor about getting a prescription.

It could be your diet, or it could be in your genes. This is something you should see a dermatologist for, they specialize in this area, and can give you the best treatment for your current condition, including how to get rid of your old marks...
Good Luck ^_^

Try juicing carrots and cucumbers and drink a glass every day for a month or so and see if that helps.
