Where do you get that idea? He claimed his mother. He loved her and respected her. He did what she told him to even if he didn't really want to (read the story of him turning water into wine). He was one of the first men to truely see women as more than just someone to cook and clean and have babies

He was trying to make a point, that those who do not believe him, are not his spiritual family in the Father. They did come to believe by the time Jesus's mission was over.

Mt 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

When He said "Behold those who do the will of my Father in Heaven are my mother and my brothers" He was not excluding His own mother as part of the family (Chef Bob is VERY wrong in his answer). Afterall, it was Mary's cooperation with the will of the Father that gave Him birth.

Jesus is redefining the concept of family. If God is our Father, all persons who do the will of Father are brothers and sisters in the family we call the Body of Christ.

When He said "Behold those who do the will of my Father in Heaven are my mother and my brothers"He was trying to show how important eternity was compared to our relationships down here.It was the same when the Sadducees asked Him about the woman who married 7 brothers as each one died off.

But he did caim his mother (in scripture, more than once Matt. 12:48, John 19:26). What are you currently talking about in the above question?

In the period where the cannons of the bible were chosen, they decided on what went into the bible and what didn't. There are thousands of stories and cannons that were left out. The book of Mary, as in Magdellan, was left out. In this book it says, that Jesus kissed her on the ______. That part is missing, so it is up to the person to interpret what goes in here.

Because she was just another dame in those ancient times. Women weren't important, and they were mostly to make sure you had sons. Daughters could be sold as sex slaves; rape victims could be stoned if they didn't cry out; you could rape women to make them your wives. The church removed the gospel of (some unimportant female) because the bible says women shouldn't teach. She's not important. That's why it wasn't necessary to get her consent before impregnating her. Women like mary are here just to birth our seed. You don't need to ask for their permission or give them credit.

He wasn't rejecting His Mother, He was making the Point that only those who follow Him, and believe in Him are his,"Mother, and Brethren..."

The same is said for us, only those who follow Christ are our true family. I am more related to the Billions who believe than to my Mother, Father, and Sisters who reject Christ !

In Holy Koran, Jesus mother is Maryam. Why is it Jesus not recognized his mother?

He did, as His earthly family.
Jesus's spiritual family is God the father and the Holy Spirit and does not include His earthly mother.
