The bible says, who so ever will, yes that even means the Devlin kidnapper. What happens a lot is when some one who has done terrible things hears the gospel of Jesus Christ, they cant forgive themselves. If they get saved, its a miracle, because the devil and a lot of people are telling them, you are worthless and don't deserve heaven. The fact is , we all have sinned and no one deserves heaven, but its a free gift. Waiting until just before death to get saved is a very risky way to live, and it doesn't sound sincere at all. God knows our hearts and He decides who gos to heaven . The way to salvation is repenting from your sins and asking Jesus into your heart.

Technically yes he can...2/3rds of the new testament was written by a mass murderer. Paul went around persecuting Christians before he saw the light.

Now to answer the second part of your question. For one thing do you want to take that risk? Your next breath is not promised. You could go at any moment. Also, who says giving your life to Christ means you give up all fun. You will actually gain so more. You will realize your purpose and destiny in which you would not be able to do without him.

Only if you know the exact day and hour that you will die.
You could be run over by the proverbial bread truck.

The scriptures are clear, it is the condition of your heart at the time of death as it relates to God and His Son that determines where you will go.

Sure, you can wait, and still get into heaven.
But you have to believe it in your heart and not just confess it with your mouth.

Remember John 3:3 says you must be born again to enter heaven.
It does not say 'you must confess with your mouth, and be baptized'.

Yes he will. The problem with waiting till your near death to wait for acepting Christ is that you never know how close to death you are. It can happen anytime. A car wreck, bus wreck or who knows anymore when you might just be minding your own buisness and some jerk decides he wants to kill everyone in the building. I would much rather be prepared for God now than worry about not getting the chance to acept him.

"Going to heaven" is not the result of "accepting Christ as your savior" except to Protestant fundies. Most Christians accept that "going to Heaven" is the result of being a Christian. And being a Christian is not the result of givin' your heart to de Lawd etc. etc. or bein' washed in de preshus blud blah blah blah. Being a Christian is the result of being baptized with water in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. So even kidnappers and Hitler will be there when you arrive. Get used to it.

Yes. Before becoming a full fledged atheist, I always held on to the "I'll just believe jesus is my savior just in case" before letting go of that childhood belief. Everyone can go into heaven if they just ask for forgiveness, accept christ, etc. That's why it's scary to keep your child around someone who believes they can do anything they want and just "pray" later.

The problem is, you never know when you're going to die.
And yes, if he truly repented of his sins, he would go to Heaven. God sees all sins the same, so someone who kidnaps or murders is the same as someone who is a nonbeliever in God's eyes. Thank God we have Christ who paid the death penalty for these people already.

If he changes and becomes a different person. I always thought the Catholic idea of purgatory might be good, spend a little time making up for what you did before you get forgiven. People can change, but those who spend their lives doing bad things and then think they can just quit and find love in their hearts for others, are usually in for an unpleasant surprise.

Really? I wouldn't suggest you try it. God looks at the heart and that includes the motive to sin up until the point of death and then try and mouth some cheap prayer in hopes of escaping justice. It doesn't work that way.

yes.
if you plan on waiting until just before you are to die to accept Jesus Christ just to avoid an eternity in Heaven.....lotsa luck.
God will know what is in your heart,
that your actions are for purely selfish reasons and have nothing to do with actually believeing.....
and He will not hear you.
so, get your marshmallows ready.
