So I met this guy at my mothers Christmas party! He had a date so nothing really went beyond that. About 3 weeks ago he initiated a conversation with my mother and was inquiring about me. My mother decided to email him my email address, telling him “wasn’t sure if you were interested or not” to which he responded that he was. The date that was with him at the Christmas party ended up being just a friend. He never emailed me but then about a week later he called. I have talked to him 4 different times within a span of a week and a half. Twice now we have spent about an hour on the phone and probably could have kept talking had it not been for the time. The last time we had an hour long conversation he mentioned getting together for a drink or coffee, to which I replied that I would like that. Again I confirmed my desires with a text. The next morning he text me with a good morning and have a wonderful day. Again at the end of the day we started to text. He was in my area for happy hour and so I was trying to open the door for an invitation to join him, but I just got a random text about where he was and that he would be there for a little while. I was kind of thrown off by he’s text and I never responded. Well he never sent another text or called. I am confused, do I call or was there enough of an opportunity for him to ask me on a date? I do not want to be that obsessive person who keeps calling if he is not interested but on the other hand, what if he is waiting for me to call him, seeing as he was the last one to reply. Another factor, he is 33 and I am 25. Do you think he might be interested but the age difference might be throwing him off? Should I just leave it alone or make an attempt to contact him again?

Let him text you. If he's interested, he'll say so. Otherwise, he's trying to get you to persue him, so that he can make up his mind as to whether or not he likes you enough. Leave it alone, the ball's in his court.

i think u should let him do the first step... otherwise it would be like
giving him too much importance... u r still young... he should be worried..
n he would do his best to meet u if he's interested... n if u want to be with
a person who really luvs u then let him prove that he luvs u very much...
he should be the first one to contact u or try to meet u...gd luck dear

i think you both are interested in each other, but none of them have a gut to take a move. he is running games that he wants to pull back a bit and see how you are interested in him, or he just wants to confirm you like him. and you just wants him tot ake a move.

if i were you, i would just call and say - hey, how are you doing? i find a movie that i want to see, but none of my frined is available. are you interested to see it? and see how he reacts?

Texting would be an easy way to be open with him. I have found that texting is easier to express my feelings.

I would have to agree with Kelly. Just text him I'm sure he will reply.

I'd call him if you are truly interested and find out if he is too.
