Yep. Sugar and high fructose corn syrup are two of the WORST things you can put in your body, or your child's for that matter.

They would still get the nutrition from the apple, but then they would get the added fat from the carmel dip. Best to teach them to eat the apples by themselves. If they have a healthy diet and the carmel dip is treat, that's great. I've found with my kids love to eat things that are fun shapes or are different. I know they make a carmel dip that is low in fat. My kids love when you core the apple and then fill it with peanut butter. PB is high in fat but is full of protein.

Not exactly. At least there's nutrition in the apple. It's better than carmel and cookies or candy. You have to look at it as a better choice, not the best, but better.

Not if you don't do it all the time. Plus they are lots of fun and you are making memories your children will never forget for letting them eat such messy food. Good for you Mom.
