When I ask five questions here, I have an average total of 40 Christians telling me they'll pray for me.

It always makes me feel joyful to know that every single day that many people will kneel down besides their bed, saying stuff like "Dear God, will you please allow The Markster to see the light? He needs it sooooo much". It's so cute.

And I'm not the only one. No, no!! There is a long, long list of atheists that are being prayed for! Every single night!

I wonder how these Christians even have time left to do really useful stuff. Oh well. I was just wondering, how does it make you feel? As happy as it makes me feel ?

Now I'm wondering if the good things in my life happen because of prayer or do to the choices I make....NOT!

Seriously, if I'm damned, why bother? And if they are praying for God to make me see the light, it therefore follows that he can at any time, so why should I go to Hell because God didn't listen to them and take the scales from my eyes?

And if its a question of me accepting God, what good are their prayers?

I'd imagine that they're glad you took the time out of your day to care about them, even though your path is running in the opposite direction that theirs is on. Whereas your religion almost demands belief in one god and tries to convert everything foreign, his is rather accepting, though it loosely suggests the idea that there is no god, afterlife, etc. (Although you can be atheist while maintaining the virtues and goals of a religion.)

LAMEN"S TERMS:

<-------Christianity | Atheism--------->
Humans caring about each other

It fits in both.

(Of course, I myself am Shinto. But that's beside the point. ^^;)

might as well pray to a flying spaghettie monster it will makes as much difference the first step of brain washing is to confess the next step is to remake the person hmm sound familiar what charles manson and other cult groups have used for years

Knowing that there are so many christians and other godbots who carry around that much hate makes me not the least bit surprised that so much religious terrorism goes on.

The fact that I am NOT aware of that and that it makes not the slightest difference to my existence confirms what I already thought about the value of praying.

That's how I feel about that. They should save their time and do something useful.

I believe prayer builds up bad karma, i put a spell on this necklace that I wear, that anyone that prays for me gets extremly ill, because ive heard of people getting sick because of people praying for them.

It makes me pity them. Afterall, according to the bible, god has already chosen who is to be saved. Do they think their prayers will make a difference?

It is very sweet of them to take the time, although my guess is the prayer is more like. Please, God, make all the atheists believe in you. Futile, but sweet.
