whole milk has more fat content than 2% milk or skim milk 0 fat, but all the nutrients are the same, its just the fat content is different thats all.

I am not sure why she recommends whole milk, unless you are extremely thin and she wants you to gain weight.

Whole milk has a TON of fat in it. Many antibiotics and pesticides used on cows are actually found in the milk fat, so I do not recommend it, unless it is organically obtained milk.

Low fat milk has less fat than whole milk, but skim milk has NO FAT. You can drink all you want, and get the protein and calcium benefit without worrying about gaining weight.

You get the same calcium and benefits from low fat and skim milk. In fact, many health experts say that drinking 24oz. of low fat and skim milk will help you lose weight or maintain weight. Any extra vitamin benefits you get from whole milk are far outweighed by all the extra fat.

I had actually heard that same thing from my wife so did some research (see source) ...

It looks like this applies mostly to women. I personally think whole milk tastes better and makes you feel fuller for a longer period of time but I usually aquiece to 1% or skim as I drink about 20 fl. oz. or more a day.

It really depends on your age. If you're younger, and still growing, then whole milk is better. The milk fat is good for you. If you're in say, your 20's, then you should be fine with 2% (I advise still against skim milk. It's really not that great). If you're really health conscious, try Organic milk, it's delicious!

It's more nutritious, obviously - perhaps that's what she means by 'better'.
