well dude(i assume your in uk)go another 2" and i would recomend the hitachi pd9700 plasma.my mate is a tv salesman and he has this model x2 in his home!!
im in process of buying one,the cheapest deal belive it or not is john lewis £1095(this includes free 5 year gaurantee),else average price is around £995 this only includes 1 year makers warranty(average cost of extended warranty 4years is about £395)so john lewis deal is best by a mile!!!!!!

get yourself down to a richer sounds shop and they will do you a 42" plasma/LCD for well under a grand.
