There are many gods and buddah is one of the many false gods created by man. There is only one God, that is capital "G" and there is none beside Him. He has no creator, He has no beginning, He has no end, He is the great I AM and He is jealous if we, His created beings worship idols (false gods) or satan in any form or ourselves and our rebellious self wills, instead of Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Do you know Him today? He sent His only begotten Son to atone for our sins with His precious blood so we can be in the presence of a holy sinless God. You can know the Father through the Son, Jesus Christ the righteous High Priest.

Buddha only means enlightened one. So I'd say there are probably quite a few living today.
I suspect Gautama Buddha was a real, enlightened person (not a god), who lived and taught about 2500 years ago.

Our creators name is Jehovah. His first creation was Jesus under another name.
Buddah was a man, and never a God.
