I have had this prob for a few years but not really noticed as i didn't mix with others, but now my life has changed. My prob is that when i smile (it doesn't happen all the time) but my face seems to go into a spasm. I can't help this then my face will twitch and the smile will drop . I have no control over it i feel such a fool as i worry people will notice, as i feel it happening. I'm not sure if it's a nervous disorder that has affected my facial muscles. It tends to happen more when someone is looking at me in the face and makes me smile openly. Can anyone offer some genuin advice please.

In all honesty, I think you should talk to your primary care provider. It could very well be a nervous disorder, or something else. It seems serious, and I would go see a doctor aboutit immediately.
IN the mean time, if you think its muscle control...maybe you should practice smiling in the mirror?

Try doing facial exercises. Look it up online and try to get a small routine going, and after your done give yourself a nice face massage. Do this for a month. If that doesn't work then make an appointment with your Dr.

My suggestion is to go see a doctor about the spasms and perhaps a mental health professional. Perfect strangers on Yahoo answers are most likely not going to be qualified enough to answer this question. I don't know of too many doctors who have enough time on their hands to sit around on Yahoo Answers.
