How do you know if they have your best interests at heart. And do people actually follow the advice they get from here?????

or medical advice, would you walk up to a stranger in the middle of the street and divulge your medical conditions and not expect to get any ****? i think not.

People ask for relationship advice on here in the same way as some people write to an angst of a newspaper or magazine. People are looking for a point of view that is or could be from a totally different angle. Whether people take this advice is up to the individual.
Problems aired are sometimes problems solved. It maybe that by sharing this problem is all that the person is looking for.
A total stranger sometimes can give a view that is not biased towards any of the parties involved as may be the case if the person asked a close friend or relation especially if the person doesn't want their loved ones to know about a problem.

There is no reason that you should take advice from people here. BUT, read through the answers and there usually are some people who give good advice. Remember some of us have had experience in life and know what we are talking about. So you pick what you think sounds right to you and ignore the rest. Taking advice from a stranger may seem strange to you but most people here are kind nice people.:)))

Well for starters I would say that alot of people in this world have gone through the same things even if at different levels. People are not saying I am going to do what you say....most are venting....maybe something they have no where else to do it....maybe some just would alliterative suggestions (not saying they will use them). Two minds are better than one.
Secondly...why would someone involve there family and friends in there relationship issues? That's just problems waiting to happen...especially if the one who takes all the garbage to the family and friends stays with the man/woman or gets back with them....then the family and/or friends have a judgmental attitude towards the person who has been talked about.....so try to see this as more than just answers....its a way to vent and get different perspectives.
You have to open-minded to be in here!

Every to their own, if some one feels better by talking about their problems then thats up to them, i always try and answer the best i can with their interests at heart as i hope people will do the same when i ask a question. If you wont take advice from here then simple dont ask a question xx

If a wise person were to answer a problem or give you guidance on an issue you were concerned about and this shared wisdom you thought would be of benefit to you and actually help you out of your quandary - would you not take it just because the person helping were a stranger?
It is a fool who does not learn from their mistakes, although it is an absolute idiot who does not learn from others.
Good advice is recognised whether it be from a friend, a foe or the unfamiliar.

I disagree. I think this is a great place to get advice. As the asker, we don't know the people answering so its easier to give an opinion. Once all the answers are collected its up to the asker to filter through the answers and determined what is the best solution. Its nice to get the feed back.

You can't judge by other. It is their decison to decie that way if they comfort with answers. What if your friends don't have that experiences and you really need to know what to do in your realtionship and you ask these strangers in this websites and end up they all have experiences and willing to help you. Grab it or you won't know what to do next. I believe in that website already helped other and it works. I don't believe negative things. Who knows the advices from here are the best.

Some people find it easier to ask a stranger questions like that, others find it easier to write their problems down and think up an answer for themselves. each to there own!
I personally have written quite a few relationship questions on here, just to get other peoples views on my problems, i find it useful because i can then sometimes see my partners side of things.

sometimes its nice to have an outsiders opinion, someone who isnt biest and will give you there genuine opinion, what you do with the advice is completly up to you but there are a lot of people on here who each have had there own experiences and sometime just knowing someone else has gone through it and have come out on top really helps a situation.

Well sometimes people want to hear what someone else has to say, it’s up to them if the act on, sometimes a little advice goes a long way from someone not involved
