i l ied like crazy on my college and scholarship applications

Maybe, maybe not. Most colleges don't check up on every form. Mine, for instance, randomly picks a certain number to verify. (Mine got picked. All my information is accurate, but since my scanner isn't so hot, I've sent it about a dozen times trying to get it readable....)

Your chances are pretty low, unless you call attention to yourself, or contradict yourself on other forms. Usually you get caught lying when you forget to keep up the lie- if you can remember exactly what you said and stick to it, you're likely- not certain but likely- to be fine.

They might. If they do, you will completely lose eligibility for the applications, be kicked out of college, and you will have to pay back all the money you were given. Good Luck!

Will you get caught? Yes.

The question is when. We periodically hear about congressmen that lied
about their education or previous experience ... its just a matter of how far
you get.

If you don't get what you are looking for and end up re-applying, I suggest
that you don't lie, but instead work to get the credentials you had claimed.

Eventually, you will probably get caught. Then it all comes tumbling down.

The real question is, is it worth the risk? Do you want to run the risk of being expelled from school based on providing incorrect information or having to owe money back to the school or government?

Make the corrections before it is too late.
