The Brits are just rude and have their own arrogance problems, but maybe that's why they work so well with our troops?
The British teach their troops differently. Their code of honor is actually very much like ours, but less enforced by their COs and NCOs. The press is beating them constantly with how horrible our troops are, so what do you think they're going to believe and say?
Just because they're rude to our troops, doesn't mean we ever need to be rude to theirs. That isn't the way Americans ever want to treat Soldiers. Besides, as a few people already said, when it gets down and dirty, they'll be there for us all the same.

I am not sure if you have served in the US military, but many American service members (especially younger) are pretty cocky and arrogant to other branches of our own military. And the average American civilian can be a really arrogant pain in the butt when overseas. We like to think we are not, but try to be objective the next time you are overseas and just watch how SOME Americans behave. Remember this is not all Americans, but as it is always a few bad eggs that can give us all a bad rep.

If you never have contact with any British people outside of the Internet, I can see why you might feel that way. I believe they were ahead of us as far as how quickly they got an Internet connected computer into every household, so their trolls are just more plentiful per capita than ours.
The British people and the British troops are wonderful people, with a great sense of humor and a very deep sense of honor.

Dont be so hasty to tar all Brits and people in the British Military with the same brush. The people making those statements are the ignorant ones who know no Americans and have almost certainly never served with any US Troops.
I served 6yrs on a NATO Unit, I have nothing but respect for the US Personnel I served with.

It's a lot more acceptable to criticize each other when you're fighting side by side than for some bozo sitting in his armchair watching CNN to render a negative opinion.
The fact that they're doing the same job gives them the right and I'm sure there's criticism coming from the other direction too. But believe me, in a crunch......they've got each other's back.

Here we go with the generalizations and stereotypes again. Not every British person thinks that we suck. There are always going to be people who do not like Americans, as well as other countries.I don't think it's fair to categorize "every" citizen of a country as thinking that way. I know for a fact that it's not true.

It is like two brothers fighting.
Services always have kind of pick on one another but when the rubber hits the road they are all on the same side.
Just walk in the middle of the two and say that they aren't real men and they are bunch of wimps.
If you live to tell the tale I like to hear it.

Relax.
In World War I they used to say about US servicemen, "They're overpaid, oversexed, and over here."
