washing up liquid has a grease stipping agent in it. It's ideal for this purpose, but only on the rare occassion. If you use it to often it will rid your hair of natural oils and thats bad. Run a really hot bath or shower, use a little on the greasy area, rinse very well, then use a normal, mild shampoo.

I picked this tip up from my wifes Take A Break !

Shampoo twice and apply conditioner to only the ends.
Dry and if still looks slightly greasy run a small amount of talc through your hair. I'm sure this will work.
If not go for a style that involves using wax and hairspray for your night out to disguise the greasy look :)

Wash it many times with deep cleansing shampoo, till it comes out. Then use a replenishing conditioner, that will replace all the oils and stop your hair from being dry after washing it so much.

Use something like Palmolive, Dish Liquid soap, that will get the oil out. Then wash your hair again with your regular shampoo.

1. rub some talc into the area you have got oil on (this absorbs the grease)

2. wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo

As mentioned above, wash it a few times. If when you dry it, it still looks greasy, try putting a little bit of talc in your hair. Old trick of making it seem a little dryer.

wash with a shampoo designed for greasy hair. the detergent in the shampoo breaks up the long molecule chains in the grease, allowing it to release it's grip on your hair and be washed away.

My son smothered his hair in Vaseline many years ago and i was told by a hairdresser to wash his hair with Fairy washing up liquid. Came out a treat. Try it.....hope it works.

wash with fairy liquid then leave conditioner on your hair for an hour before rinsing it out as badly as possible (allowing a little to remain) then brush as much as possible because it encourages your hairs own natural oils to return .
