I have been trying to figure this one out. If believing in God is your answer tell me who made him. God may answer the question of how we got here but it does not answer how anything exist at all. Even god had to start somewhere right? How did this beginning start in the first place?

I am an atheist but the problem with your question is that it can be applied to virtually any theory about the beginning of the universe. Something had to exist first right ?

The problem is that this question is limited by human perception. Humans only perceive things in linear time, but this does not mean that things can't have "ALWAYS" existed, outside of time itself. It is hard for us to grasp only because our brains our wired to the passage of time.

I believe in God. I have proof that there was, is, and will be God forever. First problem with believing in God is "what about evolution? The big bang THEORY, etc..." Well lets go take a look at our science books. I was just studying meteorites and here are a few problems that arise when studying them.
1. The problem is the lack of meteorites in the fossil layers of the earths' crust. If the fossil layers did take hundreds of millions of years to form, many meteorites should have accumulated in them. With their extensive excavation of these layers, scientists should of found numerous meteorites. They have not. They are not sure if they have found any. So here is strong evidence that the earth is young.
2. Do you believe there's life on Mars? Evolutionists do. A major reason for exploring space has been to find evidence of life on other planets. Evolutionists thought that on Mars especially life mite have begone to evolve. The entire space program has found nothing to support evolution.
3.Could the sun always of been running down? Obviously not. At one time in the past the energy that is now leaving the sun must have been put into it. This "winding up" process could of only been done by God. No natural processes could energized the sun. All evolutionary theories fail in the attempt to explain the origin of stars.
4. Because they believe that the solar system is billions of years old, evolutionists have trouble explaining the existence of comets. Some theorize that the supply of comets is continually being replenished by a comet" storehouse" beyond Pluto's orbit. But there is no proof.
These are just a few of many evidences proving that there is a God, and no big bang. So what are you going to believe? That there is a God and he created the world or that the evolutionists are still right despite the strong evidence that I have above. Its one of the above because we ALL know that there is NO way that the atheists are right and that the world just what...all of a sudden popped up?

Dear Elyse,

First let me say that you got good answers from both an atheist (duffman07) and a believer (primoa70).

When I was about 12 years old I used to wonder Who made God, when I was going to sleep each night (I was afraid of the dark and all kinds of thoughts ran through my mind.

Somewhere along the line I accepted the fact that nobody made the awesome uncreated Creator of the universe. What a difference that has made in my life! I realize that if it were possible to take ALL of the wisdom of ALL of the people who ever lived, live, and will live, ALL of that wisdom still wouldn't come anywhere near to approaching "the ballpark" of God's wisdom!

Everything you see around you had a builder...whether it be a building or a road or a car. We are not here by accident. All of us are here by the grace of the eternally existant God. The Lord God has no beginning and has no end. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I don't question it....I simply believe it. The Holy Spirit of God is the one who ultimately enables us to believe. I can argue with you until I'm blue in the face but it wont matter unless God penetrates your spirit....and enables you to believe.

Well that's a good Q

The land law (physical) OR what we have currently shouldn't apply to other creatures.
e.g what apply to us doesn't apply to Jennies or Angels, even to animals, e.g we can't survive a boiling temp. while in deep Oceans you find some sort of cramps, fish at very high pressure and boiling temp.

Also, what apply to us should not apply to GOD.

But if you are confronted with the messenger of GOD and telling you those are the scientific facts from GOD we should believe him.
-----------------------------
Additional to your Addendum you have messengers from ALLAH and you should verify the right message from ALLAH.
You are suppose to verify the right religion and not believing blindly!!!

GOD ask you to worship him in the right way so, you have to do so.

true faith in anything doesnt need to have a rhyme or reason, true faith is believing without seeing therefore I do not have a reason I believe other than the scriptures tell Me I need to and I believe in them because of them... as far as Everything having a begining..God is the Beginning He is the end too...He is not ruled by time and space...we are..
