Why would one want to remain a child forever. There is a time to grow up and put away childish things.

Because that is the natural path to take once the spirit soul reaches the human platform. Just like growing and learning. Not pursuing spiritual progress is what animals do. If we do not use this human form of life for pursuance of spiritual progress then we are no better than animals and what more suitable body for us than that of an animal for our next life?

When I meditate I sometimes become aware of a deeper reality and I get a glimpse of a more enlightened state of consciousness-I want to attain that and to do that I need to progress spiritually.

I believe that the Bible is the mind of Christ.
It takes a long time to get to know someone's mind.
I learn new things everyday.
I learned yesterday that God can frustrate the plans of evil nations.
I believe that is important information considering the times in which we live.
I want all my blesssings in time and eternity.
I understand that God is glorified when I do advance spiritually.
It sounds like a win, win, situation for me.

to get a better understanding of themselves and the world around them. To gain knowledge and intellect. (no christianity is not spirituality, they just think they are because of the big Ego)
