Consider the life of Albert Einstein, which is now a closed book. It was a life mostly spent in the contemplation of nature and mathematics. Althought he was given to making Deisitic statements like "God does not play dice with the Universe", as a matter of historical record he:
1) was not a practicing Jew, although he was born a Jew;
2) he did not accept Jesus as his Savior;
3) was not Islamic;
4) did not practice any formal religion (although one of his decendants could, in the future, convert to the Church of Latter-Day Saints).

He lived a life that was largely free of sin, although he was divorced, was unfaithful to both his wives, and tended to be emotionally distant from his children. He did write the famous letter to President Roosevelt that started the atomic bomb project, although the development of the bomb was inevitable anyway.

What is the scriptural evidence that indicates the possible fate (if so decided) of Einstein in the afterlife? Please give references.

There wasn't enough room, so please let me make clear that I am not trying to second-guess God's judgement, nor am I interested particularly in Einstein. The question relates mostly to our own lives, and Einstein as an exemplar---what can scripture teach us about the life of such a man, and what can we learn from it?

It depends on what scripture you are talking about. According to the bible he is rosting in hell due to the fact that he did not accept Jesus into his life as his savior and did not ask Jesus to forgive all his sins (or something like that).

Actually....according to most religions he is roasting in some version of hell for not believing in their version of God.

Now if you go with the Atheists, he is worm food. Yup, thats about it there.

I hope that what you were looking for.

Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)

He who has the Son, has the Father, he who does not have the Son, does not have the Father. But it is foolish to try and speculate on anyones place as God sees the heart and even a true heartfelt " Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom." is sufficient, even on a deathbed.

It isn't up to us to say this man is in heaven and this man is in hell because how can we REALLY know. All we can do is decide for ourselves how we want to live our life as best we can and see what happens in the end.
