I would donate to the American Cancer Society. My mother died of cancer 11 years ago and I would like to support the society to help with new developments and treatments for Cancer. Which charity would you choose, if you can only pick ONE?

I would first choose to doante to The American Red Cross. However, I would probably split the $10,000 into several different charities. Those being The American Red Cross, The American Cancer Society and The Boy Scouts of America.

I would donate it to a smaller, local non-profit versus a big multi-million dollar charity.

The money would go towards helping people in my community who need a hand, versus paying for glossy brochures or other "administrative costs" and I would have the benefit of seeing the return on my investment right in the community where I live.

I would choose St. Judes and if I could I would also give some to our local humane society. Little children and animals are so helpless in their fights for life. Only we adults can help out the best we can.

1st of all, I am sorry that your mother died of cancer.. My mom had colon cancer but she survived it
THANK GOD...

The question you pose is a good one.. I have many different org. I help anyway .If I had to choose just one , I would say anything to help our children through some of the diseases they are inflicted with at a young age...

My ultimate concern is for the children of this world,,,
They are our future and if we can get more funding to help them through whatever trauma they are going through , then we are one step to a better world.

These poor little dears sometimes have to endure soooo much at a young age. I cannot even imagine where they get that much strength.Well , of course its from GOD but they handle things so much differently than we adults do..

I am amazed at their ability to still smile in the face of cancer .

What a wonderful question you posed and Thank you for getting people to think :)

Love and Blessings to you...

Its not only that charity utilize the money truly some time there is lots of branded charity do fake works and maximum of money goes to there pocket. And its true.
So be care full about that first.

and my choice will be defiantly for those Charity who works for children health and education both. And also who works for those Mothers who are suffering by male nutrition in the pregnancy period.
Well for your information I want to donate the money to(RCHSS)West Bengal,India. Its an MNGO.

I would choose the American Cancer Society. My mom has had breast cancer twice (and is now in remission), and I have lost several family members to cancer. Sad to say, I would want to invest in my future.

St. Jude Research Hospital, The Salvation Army all the way!

Salvation Army. Because I heard that it doesn't have a rich CEO living in luxury off the donated funds. And I also heard that they really do help people in need.
