If your puppy is too young for the chemicals and back of the neck treatments (i.e. Frontline), then talk to your vet, as there is a daily pill you can give to puppies to control fleas. The pill only lasts for 24 hours, but will kill fleas in that time. You'll need to give it daily until you get thru the flea life cycle, or your dog is eventually old enuf for the Frontline type of treatments.

Why are you using powder? If you have a flea problem your best bet is to call the vet as over the counter flea meds aren't very good. They will cover the problem up for a while, but most likely it will come back.
Your vet will probably give you flea meds without having to see the dog if cost is an issue.

Not a great idea to put perfumed anything on your dog - especially since the talc isn't doing anything but irritating his nose and possibly causing lung damage! See your vet for an appropriate flea control solution.

Powder is a horrible thing for puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats. They should NOT breathe in the powder, as it can cause lung problems!!!
If the pup has fleas, get Advantage and that will kill the fleas on the dog and the fleas that are in the house that will hatch out and need to feed.
AVOID POWDER!!!

i have used corn starch (*if truth be told infant powder with out the body spray) on my beagle because he become about 8wks previous. The vet guaranteed me it become positive. It enables rather mutually with his itchy hypersensitive reactions. yet, he won't be able to stand the body spray interior the infant powder!! lol also, have self belief it or no longer, Pert shampoo w/conditioner is tremendous for fleas and typically more cost-effective than flea shampoo. it will make his coat rather mushy, although. it really is often times a interest. good success with the little bitty pits!!

Ok...common sense now.....why would you think Talc would stop fleas?
Go to your vet they will give you a flea treatment for a dog of any age.

Fleas are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.
