They're fully cooked, so they're safe to eat. Warming them up is for taste appeal, rather than food safety. Besides which, those little suckers are so loaded down with preservatives that no bacteria in its right mind could get within 20 feet of them before curling up and croaking.
Bottom line, though: if eating cold hotdogs was dangerous, I wouldn't be sitting here, typing this. I used to eat them all the time.

Unless they're grill or cooked over an open fire, I eat them cold right out of the package, but technically you're supposed to heat them until they're like 140 F. degrees, I think it depends a lot on how much you trust the company you're buying them from.

It says right on the package...."FULLY COOKED". I think it's kinda slimy and gross now.., but I ate them that way as a kid all the time. You go right ahead and chow down!

Weiners/hotdogs are the same basically as bologna.
Go ahead and eat them 'raw'.
(but if you knew what actually goes into weiners and bologna. . . . .eeeewwwwwwww......lol.......
you probably wouldn't eat them at all!)

Yes it is. I did that the entire time I was growing up. I was always on the run. No time for re-heating. They are already cooked.
