I have a coworker who has been on it and she keeps getting an extreme nausea feeling every morning (almost like morning sickness but she is an older lady and could not be pregnant).

If she is on induction they call this induction flu. It will go away because your body is withdrawing from all the junk in your body.

She could also be having a reaction to something she ate not the South Beach diet itself. If she ate eggs she might be allergic to eggs. She needs to look at what she is eating.

Low carbing is a very healthy way to eat.

If you have suddenly started eating more carbs than you were eating on the diet. Yes that can happen.
