I was told that I grind my teeth at night and that is what causes it. Stress related, i think. My dentist always want to build a night guard, but very expensive. This is something you have to learn to live with. Since, March, I haven't really had this problem. So it does go away in time.

You could have an infected tooth. I had this happen to me when my wisdom teeth were coming in. It became impacted and infected and I couldn't get my mouth open much. The dentist gave me a scipt for antibiotics and painkillers. You may want to visit the dentist to see if this is the problem.

The jaw soreness sounds like Temperomandibular Joint Displacement (ok - i ought to have spelt that incorrect!) you will possibly decide for to be taking anti-inflammatories (relatively stable ones) and it will finally pass away. Your wellness care professional can prescribe some stable anti-inflammatories. i think of the the remainder of it sounds like rigidity. in step with risk you could think of approximately looking fairly time for your self to de-rigidity. Have an Indian Head rub down, a facial, etc on a common foundation.

That happened to me too once. You just jammed your jaw like you can jam your finger it will go away and you will be fine. I chewed gum to loosen it up a little.

You are probably grinding or clenching your teeth at night when you are asleep. You should go see your dentist though since it is new to you.
