no , l am not afraid of my dog. l never was and l have no reason to be. l train my dog with the understanding that if l want to bath them , cut their nails , or brush them , that l am going to do just that. l was never bitten by my dog. and why would any one be afraid of their own dog? If they had the proper training and a good master then there is no way they will bite the hand that feeds them or any one else if they are train for obedience and control. that would only happen to a person who did not train their dog the right way. and training starts the same day you bring that dog into your home. not when it is six months old. no l am not afraid of my dog, they know l am alpha.

I had once gotten a 2 year old male mallinois that I purchased because the dog had put its handler in the hospital. The dog gave me great concern for the first few months and we had to have several "forehead to forehead" discussions. We finally worked things out and have had no problems since then. I find it ridiculous to hear some people say that they are afraid of their own dogs. To have a dog and not be able to do anything you want with it is absolutely stupid. He is a dog, I am a human and I am in charge here. My dogs all know that.

Nope, not afraid.
A lot of people simply don't feel that training is something they really need to do, but then again, if they've never done it, they have no idea as to how much better a well trained dog actually can be!

No, of course I'm not afraid of my dog. Once, I had a rescue dog (mixed breed of indeterminate origin, but it was big) that I did become afraid of after it bit every member of my household. After only two days, I decided that I could not provide a good home for a dog that I feared would maul me when I tried to train it, so back to the shelter it went.
I will NOT have a pet that I'm afraid of, because then it's owning me and not the other way around.

being afraid of your own dog is just dangerous. and if you are, this means that person needs some tips on how to train their dog.
For pete's sake, stand up to your dogs and take control before they take control of you, than thats a bigger problem

Nope I am definitely not afraid of my dogs, I own a GSD and a Lab mix and they know who is the alpha...ME! they also know that they are at the bottom of the pack chain, meaning my 3 yr old is higher up than they are and if he tells them no they listen. it certainly doesn't mean that I don't love my dogs, because I do very much...but they don't run the house I do!!

I have never seen a dog that was born that I am afraid of . also if I was afraid of a dog I would not own that particular dog . that is just plain silly to be afraid of your own dog. Then that dog needs to go if you are afraid of it . good luck .

I have no problems with my five. If you train them properly, from a young age, then you should not have a problem. What exactly is your dog doing, that is making you fearful of it?
