i have been getting my period since september 2006 and i havent told my mom yet what should i do? if i tell her she will be all momish and slimy sweet but if i don't tell her i have to keep hiding it and thats especaly hard because of school and i had my period on christmas so thats really hard to have happen because it's sooo verry hard to be around people because you wanna chop everyones heads off and not only that but to keep my mom from knowing i cant buy any pads at the store or get any from school so i have to use toilte paper instead, what should i do about all this?

and i know you guys think im an idiot for not letting my mom know but the thing is that im really more into being alone i mean i hate when people touch my hair including my mom and even the guy i like, i only like long hugs from the guy i like, i love to sit in my room in the dark with only the tv on, im not a people person, and my best friend mercedes mostly all we do when we hang out is punch eachother in the arm and read manga(yea i know we are wierd) and if im having cramps and arent feeling good should i stay home from school?

why didn't you tell your mom since the beginning.
it was rather silly of you. and use toilet paper? get yourself some pads, please.. buy them and hide them if you can. (or tell her and you won't have to hide them)
you should tell her now, and be prepared because she's gonna ask why you didn't tell her before and she'll probably be sad that you didn't tell her.
not telling her was just very silly of you and doesn't make you any more grown up. she might start wondering what else you've been hiding from her for no reason.
just face it you're old enough for that. and tell her that you don't like hugging and touching and stuff. hopefully she'll understand, though i don't think she will. she's your mom try to understand her position on it as well.

I would let your mom know. She is going to find out sooner or later anyway. She is also a women, and knows what it is like. It will save you from having to use toilet paper, and it will get it off of your chest. You should still go to school and do whatever you do normally. Actually exercise helps cramping.

before you tell your mom about your period, let her know you don't want her touching you and getting all sweet and momish on ya. if you're getting cramps try exercising or taking midol that helps alot.
